Remarks: "Budweiser Lager Beer. Circa: Early 1936. This American Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists Patents Pending and was filled by Anheuser-Busch, Incorporated of St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. This early design has no text printed below "Lager Beer" on the face panel, and even more surprising, the American Can Company trademark "Keglined", is not printed on the can. Notice the content information "12 Fluid Ounces" and a Roman Numeral "I", printed to the left of the patent information, at the bottom of the right side panel. The term "GENUINE" appears in red, at the top of both side panels. Note the circle of text on the left side panel, "We guarantee that this beer is brewed by the original Budweiser process from the choicest hops, rice and barley malt, ", printed within. Note also, the MPC "A.C.CO. 68-A "X" {similar to (Figure E) on page X}, is printed at the bottom-left of the left side panel. This Grade 1 example is one of only eight quality examples known to the author. Rarity Rating: R-8/R-7." Reprinted with permission by Kevin C. Lilek.
