Remarks: "Bay State Ale. Circa: Early - Mid 1937. This National Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists Patents Pending and was filled by Commonwealth Brewing Corporation of Springfield, Massachusetts. Note the Massachusetts State permit number "Massachusetts Permit No. M-11", printed beneath "Cool Before Serving" on the right side panel, and the New York State license number "New York State License C-104", printed on the left side panel. Note also, the IRS permit number "Permit NO. U-121", remains printed on the left side panel, as does the underlined phrase "Result: A True Bay State Ale", on the right side panel. This variation has a green metallic with gray and black enamel finish. This Grade 1/1+ example is one of only four quality example known to the author. Rarity Rating: R-9/R-7."
