Remarks: "ACME Beer. Circa: Late 1935. This Pacific Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists no patent information and was filled for Cereal Products Refining Corporation of San Francisco, California; Distributed by California Brewing Association of San Francisco and ACME Brewing Company of Los Angeles. Notice the use of the trademark term "Keglet", which is unique to the ACME brand. Note also; the opening line of text, near the middle of the far-left side panel, which in part reads "Only ACME Beer comes to you in Keglet,...". The Pacific Can Company, not fully prepared to can beer in late 1935, placed soup can lids on these early containers {refer to (Figure 32) on page XII}. (USBC-OI 12) This lid style was also used on the first Brown Derby Pilsner Beer container, shown later in this publication. This exceptionally fine, Grade 1/1+ example is one of only twenty five or so quality examples known to the author. Rarity Rating: R-6/R-2." Reprinted with permission from Kevin C. Lilek.
